deeded rv property

Do any of you fulltimers have a deeded rv lot with cabin or park model home that also has full hookups that you call home. Pros and cons please. We want to fulltime in retirement yet want to own a small piece of land to call ours. We have nice home now but we will sell this because too much property and up keep to worry about when out on the road for any amount of time. The rv gated communities that we have looked at seem to have fees you pay each year and those cover lawn care trash ect.,which is nice cause we wouldn't have to worry about property. just wanting to hear from those of you that own rv lot and your views on it. Thanks

  • We looked at RV lots in Oregon for spending time in the summer/fall. Nothing suited us, as they all looked like trailer parks. We ended up buying some rural property and enjoy it on our terms. No real improvements but a place to dry camp and nobody else around. The annual cost - property taxes.
  • lots of them at Lake Whitney estates, TX. I considered buying there myself. perhaps some residents are in this forum.
