X2 on the above. It's not that idling is bad, necessarily... it's that a diesel engine run for a short period of time can't get up to the necessary temperature to dry out the condensation. No, I'm not a mechanic, that's just what I was told. But, if that's not enough, getting the engine and trans up to temperature will lubricate the seals. The only way the trans comes up to temp is driving.
