Finally on the road again

After another back surgery for DW (sixth surgery)we are back in our motor home and traveling. Next stop the Adirondacks.
We have been traveling by automobile between New York State and Washington DC since June to get the surgery done and follow up.
DW has spinal cord injury and a really bad back. Most MD's want to rod her back from top to bottom but she is to young for that. So far we have been very lucky and found a good surgeon or two who gives her just enough surgery to get her back on even keel and delay the eventual rodding.
Hopefully this will buy her 3-4 years.

After this then eventually and slowly we will head to Arizona
  • Glad to hear she is doing well, and recovering nicely. Congrats on getting back on the road again.
Sounds like she has great doctors. Hope this last surgery keeps her going for a few years, at least.

    Safe travels.
  • Good for you guys. Winter in the warm AZ sun sounds like the perfect recuperation. We start our long wandering south next week - will take us at least 8 weeks to get to Mesa, AZ for the winter. Every rain my DH's arthritis acts up and he can't wait to get back to the desert.
  • Enjoy your ride to AZ via the Adirondacks. May the suspension system meet with your DW's approval.
