Hi Tom, and welcome. Consider getting your rig completely checked out as noted by others. Secondly, make sure you know how to winterize your RV. Given you are in the Boston area, you will be dealing with winter sooner rather than later. Understand, as long as your are in areas prone to sub-freezing temps., you should not expect to have water service in the RV, except for what you bring in gallon jugs. The advice to head south as soon as your are able, is good advice for someone new. In areas that experience winter, only a few campgrounds stay open as noted by others, so call ahead on your travels. While, in general, the advice to camp locally or even at home is a good plan, you may not have the time (winter-wise) to do this. So, my thoughts to you are to get the rig checked out and then go south ASAP if able.
