About 11 years ago I had a stroke and was told learn how to relax. I was farming for many years, and let the life style stress me out. Had a friend that had rved for years, and he went with us to Amarillo,Tx. He would not let me buy the first unit I saw. We went to several dealers, and retuned to the original dealer and bought a used Alfa Ideal. at that point I had no idea if I would even like an RV. After a short time I fell in love with the RV lifestyle. What made it work was a couple that took time to teach us after helping us buy one. We camped several times together before I went out on my own. I recommend you do this, especially getting help to buy quality. Their is a lot of cheap built RVs which would not be good for full time. Definitely get help.
