Residents rights vs temporary occupants is a big issue in many states where residents have specific legal rights.
It is not really an issue in Texas where long term renters, whether in homes, apartments, mobile home parks, or RV parks, have basically NO rights.
For the OP.
There are a dozen or more RV parks in each direction outside the main DFW metroplex.
However, if you want to stay inside the 635/820 loop, I would recommend looking at mobilehome parks. Some friends of mine moved to one in Grand Prairie with their RV about 18 months ago. The space rent was much cheaper than any of the RV parks. They wanted to be close to the downtown Dallas Baylor hospital for cancer treatment. They stayed there for 11 months. Sorry, I can't find the name of the park. I'll post it if I can find it.
Another friend tried to do what you want with the working member of the couple employed on the west side of the DFW airport. They decided it was cheaper to keep their house in Rockwall.
