Our experience in hanging out with full-timers for the past 16 years is that 95 percent of them sold the house and everything in it and had no regrets.
If you're really serious about full-timing and not just going to 'try it out' (which takes longer than a year or two to really know), then you'll most likely, if and when you quit full-timing, want a much smaller place to live and possibly in a more pleasant location.
As stated, storage fees really add up. You'd be surprised at how little you really need to live comfortably. Your taste in furniture will probably change and appliances and electronics become outdated. Invest the money from the sale and you'll be ready to start new.
If you decide to move to a 55+ community you will find that a majority of homes will sell completely furnished down to towels and kitchen stuff. You won't have to buy a thing.
