My friendly mail carrier retired about 5 years ago, and he & his wife bought a nice big 5th wheel to go with their diesel pickup. He told me they wanted to full-time and were having a tough time deciding whether to sell the house or not. I gave my advice: wait a year or two and see if they really like the lifestyle. If they sell the house there's no going back to it. Well, they did keep the house, and within the first year they discovered that they didn't like being out in the 5er all the time. At first I'd see the rig gone 2/3 of the year, then 1/2 the time, then 1/3 of the year. Now they are at the house most of the time and they take occasional trips.
