It is a freaking myth. I do not have to disconnect my toad to setup my motorhome (in a pull thru site) (and yes, fivers always have to disconnect to level). In a backin site, yes we disconnect, but I dare anyone in a fiver to get setup faster.
We did a west coast vacation with a friend in a fiver. He is a class five trucker and drives a dumptruck for a living. EVERY stop, I'd not only be setup faster, I'd be under my awning, in my lawnchair, drinking my margarita WITH ONE MADE FOR HIM! before he had that fiver unhooked, plugged in and levelled.
There is a lot to be said about the nice-ness of a big modern fiver, but ease and speed of hookup is not on that list.
