RV's are by nature more difficult to keep warm, so wintering in the NE in one will increase either utilities or propane. They are more like a car than a home as they depreciate rather than hold or increase in value. Yes - you'd have something, but depending on how much you'd put into it you could be upside down too.
We are full-timers, but are retired and travel constantly. If that was not the case, I'd much prefer a condo, apartment or small house. I just don't see sitting in an RV in a cold climate as a comfortable, or monetarily efficient, way to go. YMMV!
