CKNSLS, are you insinuating that only uneducated people carry firearms?
Old Biscuit, as I stated, California allows people to carry a firearm with them when they are camping; this is on the California Attorney General’s website. It says nothing about State parks, so I thought I was okay until the park police informed me otherwise.
Further, about a month later I saw one of the park police on patrol at a campground and he told me that they don’t ordinarily give citations for having a firearm but 3 of the 5 officers were in training and the lead officer wanted to observe them giving a citation. Yes, you can imagine how this made me feel. I have posted the law which I was cited for below and it is rather vague.

P.S. I was only charged with Section a and they said Section c did not apply.
