I have allways been shy about talking about this. Never discussed my using one with others. This is ... interesting. :o
I put mine on the floor as well and run the hose up next to the top of the bed. The only issue for me is the plug is in the closet. But works great so far. And it is great that I can leave it there when traveling. I would like the hose to hang from the ceiling some how. But haven't put any thought into how yet.
What do you guys do about the cold air it blows out. Been a couple times nearly froze my face off. :Z

You shouldn't be shy about talking about this....it's not a truly personal issue (let's not talk about BMs, okay?). We do a lot of boondocking in the desert and it DOES get cold, and I DO find my arm (belly sleeper) gets frozen. There are heated tubing you can buy....or a "sleeve" that's heated that you can buy. I made a tube of fleece and ran the tubing thru it. I use a tiny velcro strip to hold it in place. It doesn't CURE the problem, but it's also not using up the batteries when we're boondocking. :) Another trick on REALLY cold days......I'll sleep on my side and thread the tubing up under the blankets and up over me, up around the back and around to my face. That works pretty good until I start tossing and turning...GAAAAGH Here's a link (I haven't tried this yet).
