Eh, not quite. Maybe a fully loaded hard top 4 door Rubicon is 4700 lbs., but my 2015 2 door Willys Wheeler is under 3900 lbs., under 4K with the bike, rack and loaded trunk. And we pull it with a gas A, which has a hitch rating of 5K.
I think, what you are going to find in trying to build the perfect RV is that RVs are made up of compromises. If you want to live full time in it, you'll need to give up some off road capability. But, there are plenty of places people find to get away from it all that don't require true 4X4 capability. Many of them, a school bus will get you there no problem.
