For DH and I, it means the freedom to travel where and when we want to.
Our first year of full time travel we learned that we love the lifestyle and you cannot live like you are on vacation year round. It becomes exhausting.Leave extra time to explore the unknown or that odd stop. Tasks such as laundry, cleaning and grocery shopping still exist and need to be factored in---especially in remote places. We have tried winter in FL, TX and AZ. Enjoyed them all.
Generous information from folks on this forum made for a very smooth transition.
Last year, our travel plan based on 70 degrees and sunny for 5 months. Many folks chose to "wing it" with no reservations and wander where they want. We prefer to have a booked campsite most of the time (any popular location) but now we allow extra days in new places. In our 4th year, neither one of us can see an end to this lifestyle.
Enjoy the journey, make it your own.
For us, full time RV lifesyle is one heckuva great ride.
