- PastorCharlieExplorerWhat will probably be of most concern will be such as happened yesterday at the park where I am currently parked....a homeless family who are enjoying a stay in a camper belonging to a religious disaster relief ministry RV parked across the road about a 100 feet away bring their three dogs over across the street to my lot and allow their dogs dump their businesses about 4-5 feet from my MH and leave it laying.

Turn off the TV. :) You can constantly be looking over your shoulder and peeking out the curtain or you can go out and enjoy boondocking.

Blowing up a single trailer in the middle of nowhere doesn't make for a good attack. They want shock and awe and that doesn't do it.
Secondarily they want to disrupt our economy and shutting down buisness, factories and transportation is how that is doen. Taking out a snowbird park in arizona doesn't really hurt the larger economy much.
Did I miss what this is referring to? - fitznjExplorerI think crime is about the same as it has always been - there are the same percentages of good people and bad people. The only difference is that there is more media exposure - remember the days we only had 4 TV channels and no internet?
Personally, I feel safer now than when I grew up. I have a cell-phone with me so if things go south I can call 911. House/RV/Car locks and security systems are far superior to 20-30 years ago - remember when you could open a car lock with a screw-driver?
I have no issues camping alone - there are a lot of good people out there, just use your common sense.
Gerry - mockturtleExplorer IIFortunately, I seldom have hookups, much less TV. When I do, I watch football. As for TV 'news', it is anything but. They just milk the same story for days--even weeks--and ignore anything else going on in the world. Journalism on the cheap. :R

- prstlkExplorerI have a guy who sits on my shoulder and whispers be careful, suspect everyone, arm yourself. Then the reality of our ft lifestyle comes in to view. People are good, people are friendly, people want to help. I have met some annoying people in our travels but no evil ones. This is the most caring, giving, collection of people doing the same thing you can find.
Xo to all who plow the miles - Lexicon7ExplorerWell Wow I had no idea I would get this many really great responses.
Seems I've touched a nerve and it may be my own. Thanks so very much to all of you lovely people.. I'll stay in touch.. Morgan - 2gypsies1Explorer IIITurn off the TV. :) You can constantly be looking over your shoulder and peeking out the curtain or you can go out and enjoy boondocking.
