We spent one winter in Florida, one winter in RGV, and 3 years bobbing about Arizona before we settled on Mesa. We now own a park model in our favorite park in Mesa, and spend the winter there with the coach in storage.
Florida was too many bugs and I hate places whose attitude is "yes we need tourists, but we hate you, can't you just leave your money and go away".
RGV, Texas - - I don't do well with chewing dust. Plus not much to do besides potlucks and drinking - neither of which we do.
Arizona, Phoenix area has arts venues all over, great restaurants, shopping of every kind, Starbucks every mile or so, 15 minutes are you are out in the desert or up in the mountains and the biggest plus. SPRING TRAINING??!
