If you don't mind my asking what kind of business did you sell?? I also have a small business, actually two, one is a carpet cleaning company the other a chimney cleaning, servicing business. the chimney business has been around since 1992.
I work in the chimney business most every day with a helper at times that also does the carpet cleaning when that gets busy.
We have two kids, one a senior in college, one senior HS, so we have 4-5ish yrs before the "big break" can happen.
I was wondering how long it took to sell the business and did you advertise it yourself or have a business selling agent handle that for you.
Did you get what you thought it was worth or what someone was willing to pay for it??
