Hobbies

My husband says I need to get some hobbies. My top favorite things to do is traveling and exploring...but I need something to do in my down time. I need something I can do when we are in our RV "relaxing"...I like to research on the internet and read books but I'd like to do something more "mindless" every once in a while. Any suggestions? What's your favorite in-the-rv hobbies?

  • While fulltiming I did a lot of knitting .....items were donated or given away......every person I know now has a stocking cap and afghan :)....ps....I still knit :)
  • Taken to the proper level, yes, drinking can be considered a hobby. Don't look for it to become an Olympic sport though. "Curling" has that spot.

This forum. I kid you not.

    LOLOL @ Dog Folks...

There are those of us who have become "Professional Pinners" on Pinterest. You can lose hours/days/weeks/months/years in there just pinning craft projects and decorating ideas you may get around to (if you live to be 250 yrs old).

Think small I guess... try your hand at sketching/water colors of things of interest popping up on your travels. Photograph things with a digital camera and then practice those sketching/painting skills. You can get water color tablets and small sets of supplies that fit into a small tote bag.

Cross stitch is nice, but you need decent light to do it.

I read more, walk our dogs more, scheme fun crazy (but easy) dinners. In my perfect world I'd probably start dragging around a small quilting project. I have a small Featherweight sewing machine. It would be easy to set up and have fun working on a project depending on how long you were out and about.

  • I take pictures, blog, bird and do cross stitch. Right now, I'm doing the State Birds and flowers or States that we have visited.
