We have a park model at a membership campground which we are allowed to use 180 days per year, that's home base and where we spend late fall and early spring. It is near where we lived and close to our kids and grandkids, and the months take in most important holidays to spend with them. In May-October we are on the road in BC and Alaska. We spend January and February in the southwest. Membership dues are about $1000/year for the park model and since we are there when few others are using the park it is quiet and empty. Taxes are only a couple of hundred and it's all paid for long ago. Yet we have a place to keep our minimal stuff and it's big enough to entertain to some extent. Allows us to spent the rest of the year in a truck camper rather then a travel trailer or big motorhome.
