Showers are the biggest hog of fresh water.
You have to be STRICT with all and everyone you RV with, including FAMILY about how long they stay in the shower and how much water they use period, no exceptions. Get tough on them! :B
Unless you are on full hook ups and wash the coach every day, the above quoted reply is bang on. When you are in the boonies, empty fresh= full bilge( black/grey) so water conservation is important.
We shower every day but can still last up to 14 days or more because we use less than 1 gal/person. Wet yourself.2-3 cups. Shut of shower. Lather hair, cracks and crevices, turn on water, rinse. You are not at home, you are supposed to be camping.
After a 6 hour mountain bike ride or 13 hour hike in a harsh environment, keeping clean means more than feeling good, it means avoiding possible bad skin issues.
Conserving water and waste keeps us out in the bush longer which is where most of want to be.
