How Long Can I Be Offgrid?

I realize the trailers I've been looking at aren't exactly ideal for long term boondocking, but I'm curious what the average length of stay might be with the capacities given.

All of these trailers have a 43 gal fresh water tank. Most have a 38 gal grey and black tank, but one has a 30 gal black and 60 gal grey. These all have two 20 lb LPG tanks. How long might these allow us to stay stationary for a family of 3 with a smaller child? And what of battery power?

  • Propane...several weeks unless cold and running furnace

    Fresh water tank.......4 days

Battery...1 1/2 days then needing recharge
  • the length of stay boondocking is limited by your ingenuity. With solar and a generator and good batteries you have many days/weeks of power. with an auxiliary water tank and a grey/black tote and a place to dump you have no sewer issues. Basically all that's left is your ability to refill water, get gas for your genset and food/drink to keep you fed.
