I took a 17 days vacation and I was very surprise how much I spend for the Diesel.How can a retire can afford that.I spend 950$ for the diesel for that trip.

Yep, I just checked my records. In almost 8 years of full-timing I have put on about 30,000 miles. That's about 72 miles a week, or at about 8 mpg and $4/gal, about $36 a week, or just over $5 a day for diesel.
