Our radiant heater has all kinds of protections - tip over, lift up wrong, etc. - sometimes it irritates me when I mess with it and it turns OFF.
It's about 24 inches tall, 12-13 inches wide, and has tall vertical glowing orange tubes in front of bright metallic chrome reflectors in behind the tubes - all behind a strong metal protective mesh and an additional safety tip-over guard bar outside the mesh. It does have a fan in behind for some air-only heating to go along with it's great warm-body heating.
It reminds me of those orange glowing tube heaters with chrome reflectors that stores mount in the ceiling aiming down at outside door openings and checkout counters that make customers and clerks instantly feel cozy warm in the winter.
IMHO, radiant heat is the way to go in an RV to get the most comfortable electric heating possible from 1500 watts.
