We observe a lot of RVers on the road with pets and it has many effects that would really interfere with our RV style. We had workamper neighbors once who wouldn't even go visit the most beautiful Nat'l park in the country because they couldn't take the dogs and wouldn't leave them. Rediculous priority in our opinion.
That's why we prefer cats, they are lower maintenance.
We've left ours alone for many a long weekend and the lone cat stayed home in the RV for a full week while we went to Maine. It just made her more attentive instead of stand-offish when we returned.
