I'm sorry but I don't think you have a chance in H* i owned cats for years & they get set in their ways & that's it. No way they change or adapt. You would be better off finding them good homes and Adopting kittens, raised in Rvs they do very well 'cause that is all they know so that is the way is it is & they like it. Cats Freakout at moves and always try to go home to what they know. I fear your cats will take off & try that.
Shadow was 9 and Kit was 16 when we started fulltiming. BOTH adapted to the life style. Sadly we lost Kit when she was 19, but Shadow is still going strong at 16. Just because you couldn't figure out a way for cats to adapt doesn't mean that others haven't figured it out.
For the record, Shadow now recognizes the MH as home - she looks for it. When we go in for service at some point during the morning (or afternoon) I'll take her out for a walk so she can see that the MH is there and not that far from her. When we arrive at a new spot, the first night she will walk only a short way and never out of sight of the MH. The next night it will be a little long, etc. And you can always tell when we turn a corner leading directly back to the MH as her little legs kick it up a notch to get back to home - and her food bowl!:B
And it is true that a MH is easier than a 5er or trailer because they never have to move - they are home as we go down the road.
