Jumping in with both feet!

First off- this forum is a godsend. The wealth of knowledge and years of experience contained within are more helpful than any book that one can buy. Words cannot adequately express the gratitude I feel for having access to a forum like this. So if you are a contributor- THANK YOU!!!

I work as a traveling surgical tech and have realized that using the housing stipend that I am given to pay for an apartment or hotel room is a horrible waste of money. So, I decided to spend it on something that I can actually realize equity in after I stop doing this type of work. Why not pay myself instead of "the man"?!

Of course, this means that I am going from having ZERO experience to becoming a full-timer, literally overnight. I have to admit- the prospect of entering this lifestyle is daunting, to say the least. But I have been researching all I can for the last 6 months and feel like I am mentally prepared to go for it. As they say: the proof will be in the pudding...

Hopefully I will learn enough to be a contributor to this forum, and be able to share any knowledge I have acquired. If nothing else, I'm sure that there will be many "Oh...duh" moments that I will be able to talk about and hopefully others can learn from my mistakes! :W

Again, thank you all for your contributions.

Here I go......

Why not! That's what we said too! Good luck on your adventures in fulltiming! We just started in March and have learned so much already! Eek, can I push this button or am I going to blow us up!! Haha. We have lived a much simpler life that can only get better with time! Again good luck!

Well I hope that my TT isn't equipped with one of those buttons! Congrats on your new lifestyle, as well- hope it is everything you wished for.

Ah yes...the "Oh...duh" moment. Often closely followed with a mysterious lightening of the wallet, or the exclamation, "Ouch"! Thank you for the well wishes...

I definitely will enjoy the freedom-thanks! I actually was encouraged to consider this endeavor by a fellow traveler when I was in your state- Circleville, OH.
