Jumping in with both feet!
First off- this forum is a godsend. The wealth of knowledge and years of experience contained within are more helpful than any book that one can buy. Words cannot adequately express the gratitude I feel for having access to a forum like this. So if you are a contributor- THANK YOU!!!
I work as a traveling surgical tech and have realized that using the housing stipend that I am given to pay for an apartment or hotel room is a horrible waste of money. So, I decided to spend it on something that I can actually realize equity in after I stop doing this type of work. Why not pay myself instead of "the man"?!
Of course, this means that I am going from having ZERO experience to becoming a full-timer, literally overnight. I have to admit- the prospect of entering this lifestyle is daunting, to say the least. But I have been researching all I can for the last 6 months and feel like I am mentally prepared to go for it. As they say: the proof will be in the pudding...
Hopefully I will learn enough to be a contributor to this forum, and be able to share any knowledge I have acquired. If nothing else, I'm sure that there will be many "Oh...duh" moments that I will be able to talk about and hopefully others can learn from my mistakes! :W
Again, thank you all for your contributions.
Here I go......
