Kid's Address as Domicile Address

We are residents of Texas (with a house) currently, but will sell the house and be full time RV travelers.
Our son is also a Texas resident with a house. Can we just use his adddress as our address and remain Texas residents; keeping vehicles registered in Texas and travel the country?
If so, this seems better than using Escapees to set up an address, etc.
Does anyone know if this is legitimate and a good way of working this out?
Thanks,
Wade Griffin

That's the way we do it. Daughter collects what mail we get and sends it to us.

    Same with us!
  • I appreciate everyone's comments and advice. You all were very helpful.
We have a lot to learn. I called the Escapees and the tax office for that county, and they were both very pleasant and informative. If we didn't have kids in Texas, the Escapees sound very good.
We'll probably use the kids as a mail service; after all "they owe us"!
    Thanks so much,

  • That is what I do. I use my son's address in TX. I am in the process now of selling my house in KS and will move down there permanently. When he is using my 5th wheel when he works out of town I will live with his wife in their house. When he is through with the job then I get my 5er back. lol

Everything I have is registered in TX and I now have a TX drivers license. All is good.
