We are residents of Texas (with a house) currently, but will sell the house and be full time RV travelers.Our son is also a Texas resident with a house. Can we just use his adddress as our address and remain Texas residents; keeping vehicles registered in Texas and travel the country?If so, this seems better than using Escapees to set up an address, etc.Does anyone know if this is legitimate and a good way of working this out?Thanks,Wade Griffin

I don't see why not. The state should not care where you call home as long as your registration matches and you are paying taxes.

That's the way we do it. Daughter collects what mail we get and sends it to us.

That is what I'm doing in NC. My daughters address is where my mail goes, we changed our drivers license and voter registration too. She opens my mail when we are on the road, lets me know how much the bills are and I pay them online. Most bills send me a email anyway. Works great for me, of course we do stay there for a few weeks to visit the grandkids, then we are off again. Seemed much better than a mail forwarding service.

it is all about the taxes. As long as there is no intent to defraud my uninformed opinion is go go it. Happy Trails

That's what we do in Florida. No problem. Daughter forwards our mail when we email her the address. She prints the address and puts it on the envelope. I buy the prepaid mailing envelopes 5 at a time and all she has to do is put the mail in and drop off at the post office. She hold magazines and catalogs until we return home for doctor appointments.

I appreciate everyone's comments and advice. You all were very helpful.
We have a lot to learn. I called the Escapees and the tax office for that county, and they were both very pleasant and informative. If we didn't have kids in Texas, the Escapees sound very good.
We'll probably use the kids as a mail service; after all "they owe us"!

That is what I do. I use my son's address in TX. I am in the process now of selling my house in KS and will move down there permanently. When he is using my 5th wheel when he works out of town I will live with his wife in their house. When he is through with the job then I get my 5er back. lol

Everything I have is registered in TX and I now have a TX drivers license. All is good.
