Kid's Address as Domicile Address

We are residents of Texas (with a house) currently, but will sell the house and be full time RV travelers.
Our son is also a Texas resident with a house. Can we just use his adddress as our address and remain Texas residents; keeping vehicles registered in Texas and travel the country?
If so, this seems better than using Escapees to set up an address, etc.
Does anyone know if this is legitimate and a good way of working this out?
Thanks,
Wade Griffin

  • That is what I'm doing in NC. My daughters address is where my mail goes, we changed our drivers license and voter registration too. She opens my mail when we are on the road, lets me know how much the bills are and I pay them online. Most bills send me a email anyway. Works great for me, of course we do stay there for a few weeks to visit the grandkids, then we are off again. Seemed much better than a mail forwarding service.
  • That's the way we do it. Daughter collects what mail we get and sends it to us.
  • I don't see why not. The state should not care where you call home as long as your registration matches and you are paying taxes.
