The platform for my bed is also a strange size: 60"x79. Short queen matresses are 60x75 and reg. queen are 60x80. Guess I'll go for the reg. queen? The previous owners wanted the mattress and all my sheets were for full mattresses anyway so I just used the mattress I had which left about five inches all the way around the mattress.
