Wow. It is amazing how many people jump on the bandwagon of something they read or see on the internet without any further investigation.
Gopackgo and Second Chance have it correct.
This regulation is to insure that park model RVs are still considered RVs rather than manufactured housing. This rule does NOT MAKE IT ILLEGAL TO LIVE IN AN RV. In fact it says nothing to the legality of living in an RV. It is not about taxes. It is not about government control. It is all about building codes and nothing else. The RV industry (manufacturers) requested clarification because their RVs are getting big enough to be considered manufactured houses but don't meet the building codes of manufactured houses.
