As a lung cancer survivor who was given a 35% chance of survival(and it's now been over 5 years), I also would highly recommend a 2nd opinion from a major cancer center. We're in Texas and I went to MD Anderson and credit them with my being here.
My 2nd thought is for your wife. She needs to be set up where if the worse does happen, she has friends, family and support fIrly close. Maybe there is an RV park near family that let's you do both the lifestyle AND gets you near treatment plus positions her if the worse happens.
Regardless, fighting will help you survive longer. Your Attitude determines your Altitude! Good luck with your decision and let us know how you're doing.
