Firstly: You're not a loser. Many move back to their parents for various reasons. Most of those parents who are now aging appreciate the extra help and company. So no, you are definitely NOT a loser.
While RVing is a good idea, I wonder if the 16 year old would be homeschooled? If you do choose to RV, homeschooling is the way to go. HS diplomas still carry some weight and they are needed if he chooses either tech school or college. Just some thoughts there.
