I was 47 and facing a divorce and decided that I would live in our family motorhome. For me it was the best decision I could have made. It made chasing after my career that much easier, because I moved twice in three years for job promotions, and it just felt right to me. I've since met a wonderful woman, and we got married and bought a house. But I was never unhappy living in the motorhome.
One thing about my situation though, I was alone and not trying to live with other family members other than when my kids visited. I'm not sure I would have faired as well with my kids living with me full-time.
Whatever you decide good luck to you in what I know is a difficult time.
