You can blame the current aversion on the 'tiny house' craze. Many communities are enacting zoning and ordinances specifically barring tiny houses and communities look at a full time RV'er as a tiny house sweller. We are primarily agriculture and just enacted a couple ordinances toward the siting on a tiny house and that includes any RV considered non-transient.
Putting any RV on any site for a protracted amount of time and you have some inherent issues like waste disposal (a big one), water and utilities.
Can you install a septic system on your acre and be within the regulations concerning it on your acre and drill a water well and have them the proper distance from each other? Things to think real hard about when buying a plot to park on for any length of time.
The nomadic lifestyle is nice but it comes with a price.
