Hopefully there will be some full timing folks that chime in that are doing it with 2 children. I think you may find most full timers are just two old folks like us.
Since you are still 2 years out, I don't think I would get the TV yet. If you think it is possible to still improve/modify you existing fiver then concentrate on that. With sales records being set this year on RV sales prices on new and used RV's will remain steady or possibly go up. The time to make the decision on keeping your fiver or getting a different one is fast approaching.
If it was me I would start looking for a 1-ton dually next year. I would not limit my search to local but expand it out several hundred miles. My target TV would be a diesel, under 35,000 miles, and 3 or 4 years old. Even if you do a nationwide search now you may be surprised what you could get for the $30,000 to $35,000 range. If you can stay under certain parameters you may even find you can purchase a reasonable extended warranty.
