After much research, I think we are going to just deal with what we have; modifying the RV to fit our needs. This will only be (initially) for a year, which will give us a pretty good indicatation of the future. If we like it enough to stay on the road, then we'll look at other options. If not, we're not out tens of thousands of dollars. The truck would always be a good investment; even if we decided not to pull anymore, I can still use it daily. However, a new rig would be a waste in that situation, if either we didn't want to pull anymore or decided we wanted a different floorplan. Who knows, maybe we'll buy a pusher next.
Time will tell.
