The person picking up the pills at the pharmacy doesn't have to be the person the prescription is for. You can pick up pills for a friend who is too sick to get to the pharmacy, for example.
It's a good idea for the patient to call the pharmacy and let them know you will be having a friend or relative pick up. It probably helps if both people have the same last name, but that's not a requirement.
Then they can mail the meds to you. Or is that part not ok?
Studies say the free heroin clinics in UK and Europe have had the unexpected side effect of making heroin use 'uncool' and thus dramatically reducing the number of young people who become junkies. It's now an old people's drug over there. Ain't nobody better than the government social workers to make something uncool, right? Might as well take advantage of that talent :).
