Murder, burglary, theft.. these are crimes against an unwilling participant. Drugs? People take them willingly. That's not a crime against another person. Just because your mother doesn't like it doesn't make it a crime.

Unfortunately, the government and many people don't agree, which makes prisons our drug treatment of choice.
