We've stayed in three campgrounds long term in MD through hot muggy summers and cold snowy winters. They are all fairly expensive, but with a good income, they are doable.
We've been up in Abington, down in College Park and for 2 nights in Lothian. We were only in Duncan Family CG for 3 nights because the only options for long 5ers were one 50amp without sewer (honey-wagon came once a week) or up in the fulltime section with only 30amps. After the 2nd day of flipping the outside breaker on 30amps, we moved to Cherry Hill.
We've also stayed in Gainesville and Fredericksburg, VA. Rates were a little less, but it would add to the commute time to DC area. But it's all a trade-off.
