We are in the same situation. Our house is under contract, due to close tomorrow, and we have to be out on the 22nd of this month. We've spent the last 3 weeks throwing away, giving away, selling and donating 39.5 years of accumulated "junk".
We've ordered a new Itasca from a dealer just next to the Winnebago factory. It is expected to take 8-10 weeks to build, so we're living in our 21 foot class C for about 6 weeks.
I'm excited about being "homeless" and even more excited about being a full-timer. One more week!
I've been involved in a private deal for the last few months and it's been going nowhere. Checked out the market yesterday and a neighbor with a similar residence just went into contract for a price that is almost double what I was trying to sell my space at!! Going to defer my dream and see how the R/E market play out. Can't hurt and gives me more time to make an RV and TV choice.
It's done. SOLD. Living in our class C while the Itasca is being built. By the way, hire the Realtor. I've been in Real Estate for 35 years, and sold my house for far more than any other of its age and size in our neighborhood in 10 days. Look for one with the CRS designation. Best advice I can give you.
