It wasn't the hardwired one it's the other one, the 34750 model but it must have been pretty bad since the 50amp cord was melted and the prongs burnt as well. Yes I am a big surge protector believer!! I would and have highly recommended one to everyone I know!
So I guess I am lucky that I only had to replace the 12v adapters.
