Prescription Drugs ?

What is the cheapest pharmacy for prescription drugs?
  • When we were travelilng 6 months out of the year we found Walmart to be by FAR the easiest place to use. They're everywhere and as low cost as anyone. Being able to FIND a pharmacy everywhere you go is much more important than price though.
  • My 02.

If you taking a medication daily on an extended basis - evaluate whether buying year/bulk supply with cash (no insurance) is better than the 12 co-pays purchased through an insurance company. As an example - you can buy a 2 years supply of Lipitor from Costo for about $150 (have to cut the pill in half). Of course it's going to depend on the drug and what your insurance setup is ... but few people think about buying drugs in bulk.

The one with the longest lines.

incorrect. I used to get mine at Wal-Mart, lines and a zoo. final straw was the doctor called in a script and I then drove to walmart and was told 2 hours. transferred everything to Sams, much better service and better prices.

    Biscuit.

Just tried your Link. Although that may be handy for some, it still doesn't work for me.

One of my meds does not have a generic available here in the US as this site indicates & as I have know for sometime, yet I get the generic elsewhere & have for 7 years. The cost with coupon for this particular drug (non generic)& 90 days supply as listed is $366 on the site. I get a 90 day supply (generic) without insurance involved for $62 total.

    GO FIGURE :h

easy to figure, your cheap one comes out of India, or some other 3rd world country. check out indiageneric.com

  • A lot depends on the medications and if there is a generic version, and what's it for. As an example Public's provides several of my wife's drugs for free. Other drugs they are higher than Walmart, others cheaper. Hard to beat $10 for a 90 day supply at Walmart (and others)for certain generics.
  • With insurance or not ?

Also, it varies from pharmacy to pharmacy.

I use a medication that Costco charges $200 for & I get the same thing from Walmart for $25.

I also have used a pharmaceutical supplier for the last 7 years in Canada for far less money than here in the US & not using insurance at all.

    JUST SAYING,
