I'm afraid to admit that I work at a Walmart Pharmacy :E
I'm not certain what problem you ran into, but I don't think it was because of too many new profiles. Each "region" acts like an entity ... which means I can see and pull prescriptions from other stores in my region. I can also pull Rxs from other store not in the region, just takes a phone call. I couldn't care less if you had a profile in a hundred other stores.
There are some government rules which you might have run against. Some states limit things being pulled across state lines. Not sure why they do that, but there are a few states where I cannot get a prescription.
Some states also limit how and when a prescription can be transferred. Example, in Texas "controlled" drugs like pain killers and stuff can only be transferred once. After that you are out of luck or have to get the doctor to call in a new one to the new store.
If you have monthly drugs I'd suggest mail order, and use the forwarding service so your order follows you. That way you can order your RXs over the internet or by phone. Just make sure you have a buffer in case it takes several weeks to reach you.
If you need one and can't do mail order, then any Walmart should be able to help you. Keep in mind that if the order has already been filled in one location, the new pharmacy will have to call the old one, wait for the old one to "unfill" the order and then transfer the RX to the new store. Depending on how good/busy the old pharmacy is, it might take a day or two.
If you are still having problems, send me a private email and I'll do what I can to see what is causing your delay.
Regards,
Donna
