Let me clarify that I do beleive overall this is a big problem with some serious consequences for many people.
Some issues that spring to mind are:
What happens to people’s renewal notices for vehicle registrations that are due in August as mine are?
What happens to money that may have been paid to MDA for postal services that will not be rendered?
What could be the reason for a ONE DAY NOTICE of a complete shutdown of a company? In my long business experience a company knows well in advance it is in financial trouble. The only reason for such short notice that I can see, at least without further explanation from MDA, is they wanted to conserve as much income as possible before notification.
This could also affect some Credit Card accounts via the address and if this is your sole “home” address this change will make it appear that you have moved.
