Don't waste your $$$ on "RV" TP, just buy any brand at the store that is "septic safe." We have done this for many years with no issues.
X2 on Septic Safe. We never had a clog or problem. - Army11BravoExplorer IIBack in the 80's when my family had a class C motorhome, my father jokingly told my older sister not to use more than two squares of toilet paper or it would clog the black tank. Years later, my sister admitted to not realizing it was a joke, and never used more than two squares!
Use cheap single-ply septic safe toilet paper, and feel free to use more than two squares. - Old-BiscuitExplorer IIIBlack tank drain line is 3" ..........
- FrankoTooExplorer IIRegular TP here as well. Also lots of water when flushing.
- williamp321ExplorerJust do a good flush on your black tank. never had any problem with any type of T paper.
- LarryectExplorerWe have had trouble in the past that we attributed to standard two-ply piling up under the toilet. So, we went to standard (household) 1-ply and have never had any trouble with it. I believe it falls apart a bit easier.
- Vet_ManExplorerI stay away from the fluffy stuff.
- Sandia_ManExplorer IIWe use regular tp, DW buys it by the case over at Samsclub. We have a straight drop from toilet to BW tank and it all pretty much flows out the dump hose without issue. I guess if you have a turn or two to get to black tank from toilet the use of RV tp might be necessary if the regular stuff is causing issues.
