Rv lot insurance

Hello
I just purchased a rv lot in Tennessee and trying to find liability insurance and have had no luck in doing so. Any of you guys find insurance for a rv lot that you own and rent when you are not using it?
Thanks
  • Check with GilbertRVInsurance.com. They should be able to find something for you. Multi-Line brokers can shop around for client's special needs.
  • Look into an umbrella liability policy . But when renters are involved you need to be sure its valid for commercial uses. Most personal liability policies would exclude business claims.
  • If you are renting out this lot it is a business and you must buy commercial/business insurance.
  • The full-timers policy probably will not cover if he uses the rv lot as a rental. There are plenty of them out there, so someone must write the coverage. Best chance is with a large nationwide company that write business insurance. That what you will have if you rent it out - a business.
  • In FL, at least, my full timers policy only covers the lot when I am parked with the rig on it. When I leave, my full timers goes with me. Until just recently, I did carry a liability only policy on the rv lot which I got through a local insurance office.
  • What does your 'full time' insurance policy cover?

The FT Ins policy we had covered 'slip/fall' accidents etc just like a S&B Homeowners policy

Check with your Full Time Ins company.....if not covered add it?
