How long is a "long distance" for you?
Some of us use the 2-2 rule. Travel 200 miles, stop for at least 2 days, (3 nights)
Just thinking about...How will you get to the destination that your
RV ends up? Long drive ???
I add another 2 to it. Always arrive by 2 in the afternoon. You don't have to drive far. Yes you can find somebody to move your RV but you can always just pick places close to home. For years and years when my wife and I were working, we seldom drove more than 50 miles to close by lakes. Biggest trip was 4 hours to the OR coast. Then stay a week. - JAXFLExplorerMoving one is easy, driving more than a couple of hours is a day is usually not required. You can go 100 miles and park for a few days or weeks and then drive another 100miles and stay again. If you are retired there is no hurry. I figured out once (bored) that if you stayed at every campground JUST in Florida for a week at a time , it would take you 12+ years to get back to were you started. But then you would have seen Florida.

- phillygExplorer IIDon't know your travel plans or time management. One way is to limit overnite stops to, say, no more than 300 miles each day until you get to your destination. There are some companies or "hot shot" drivers who will move fifth wheels or trailers. Don't know about Class A rigs because then you'd have to pay for the driver's return trip whereas hot shots may find a return tow paid by the next person.
- 2oldmanExplorer III'd start by calling your local Towing companies, or googling 'rv movers'. Maybe even better, visit local campgrounds and ask, or look at bulletin boards there. Some RVers are always looking to pick up a few extra bucks by towing for hire.
