Saved the day with a new faucet!

There are so many parts to any RV, and you never know when something is going to break or need replacing. You could invest a lot of money into making sure that everything is working and replaced when necessary, and I have often found that this is a very good practice to follow.

But sometimes, you discover that something could use replacing even when it isn’t broken. For example, we had a sink that looked really nice, and it had a nice faucet. There was nothing wrong with it, mechanically speaking. But we always had trouble filling up any kind of pot or kettle under the RV faucet. It was simply too small. So we came to the realization that we were simply going to have to invest in a brand new RV faucet.

Once we had decided we needed to replace it, we began looking around on the internet for a good place to buy a new RV faucet.

I installed it myself, we now have no trouble filling up our kettles and pots in our RV kitchen.

  • Lowe's and Home Depot are one of the first places we stop when we need new faucets.
  • I replaced our RV kitchen faucet and was feeling pretty good about it until I tried to turn on the hot water with the left side knob with the drying rack over the left sink! Had to move the rack and reach over or around...a single handle faucet started to look pretty good.
  • I just replaced the junky/leaky pull out faucet with a Moan pullout faucet. Was easy to do. The only thing that I had to do was change the fittings on the water supply lines. 2 Shark Bite 1/2" to 3/8" shutoff valves, and a PEX cutter and a half hour and it was installed.
  • There's nothing better than a new kitchen or bath faucet to jazz up the look, or in your case, be more useful.

We replaced the worn carpet in our previous motor home with hardwood flooring.

The job was actually easy and not too costly.
  • I constantly scan the discontinued area when I visit Lowes and Home Depot just for such items. Residential but deeply discounted will be both cheaper and better quality in the RV than the plastic stuff they install. Eventually, I'll find the right deals and get everything replaced.

Just end up with the same RV junk.

    Home Depot/Lowes/Ace......better selection/pricing

Now if I could find a better RV shower faucet vs the cheapo junk used.

We changed our shower to a Delta home system. Not cheap, but separate temperature and volume controls=priceless!

  • Standard residential faucets are a lot cheaper and a heck of a lot better quality.
  • Welcome to the Forum..your first post.

    Another option:
Go the Home Depot or Lowe's and get a standard residential kitchen faucet.
That's what I did for both the kitchen and bathroom in my present rig and in previous ones.

Generally better quality and a wider selection.
