SD vs TX residency
Both have no state income tax so why is SD more often a choice for residence for full time RVers?

You didn't do a very thorough study of SD; you never have to step foot in the state to reg your vehicles or renew their reg.
One phone call to the court clerk to inform her you're a fulltime traveler gets you excused from jury duty.
you do have to return once every 5 yrs for DL renewal, but if your birthday falls in winter months you can renew up to 6 months before, or by filing a request, you can delay your expiration date by 6 months.
