You may want to try My Trip Journal. The free version allows limited pictures (still quite a few) and the paid version ($99/year), which we used until this year, allows unlimited pictures. It's very easy to use and you have maps available showing where you stopped. If you click on the link in our signature you can see 13 years of our posts. The only downside I have found is it is a little slow at times.
